The Dragon’s Hoard has been serving gamers since 2000, when our doors first opened in Staunton, Virginia.
But our story began long before then. Harry and Susan Shiflett were traveling up and down the East Coast
as early as the 1980s, bringing tabletop roleplaying games and accessories to conventions and building a
reputation for passion, expertise, and a love of gaming that continues to this day.
What started as a convention table has grown into a full brick-and-mortar store with one of the most diverse
selections in the region. Our shelves are packed with:
- Tabletop roleplaying games (TTRPGs) and RPGs
- Board games, card games, and family favorites
- Dice in every style and color imaginable
- Miniatures and high-quality paints
- Rockets, models, and hobby supplies
- Gaming accessories and more
The Dragon’s Hoard isn’t just a store — it’s a community. We have tables available for open gaming, and you’ll
find regular sessions happening most nights of the week. Every Friday night, we host official, sanctioned
Magic: The Gathering games that bring players together to test their decks and their skills.

Note: These are our minimum hours. We’re happy to open early or stay late if games are in session — play as long as the dice keep rolling!
